Alison Clarke

Alison Clarke grew up on a Western Victorian Dairy farm and now works full-time in her Speech Pathology practice, called Spelfabet, in Melbourne (AKA Naarm). She has also worked as an administrator and English teacher, and been a City Councillor and Mayor. She was awarded an OAM in 2022 for services to people with learning difficulties and the community. ‘I love a sunblessed country’ is her first children’s book.

From an artistic family, Cat MacInnes has always loved to draw. She especially loves drawing animals. She studied graphic design and fine art in Melbourne and Korea. Her professional projects include two books by comedian Nelly Thomas. Her works are gentle and whimsical, with use of strong, bright colours and polished vectors. See more of Cat’s work here.

Annie MacInnes

Annie MacInnes (yes, Cat’s sister) works as a freelance graphic designer as Annieworks. She designs for businesses, brands and people, and loves to help communicate a unique message through thoughtful and visually engaging design. Annie is proud to have been part of the creation of this beautiful and powerful children’s book.
